How to learn Linux

Are there any good .pdf documents out there to learn linux. Seems all the www.linux.* sites just have a few how-to articles. I need complete guides that cover beggining linux to advanced. Right now, I installed Mandrake and hooked it up to the net, but after that I’m completely clueless. I can’t even figure out how to install Star Office… Help?!?!
