How to pass a value from a subreport to main report in Crystal Reports XI?

I am doing a recordcount in a subreport. I want to pass that value to the main report. I am using Crystal report. I have used shared variable in sub report. How to display the value in the main report ?

I am using Crystal Reports XI.

Any idea ?
