HOW TO UPGRADE FROM P2 – P3

Currently my pc specs is as follows:

PII 333MHZ
256 MB
6 GB Harddisk

I would to know up to how much can I Upgrade my current Specs to be able to somehow meet the current Require of the PC today.

or what should it to upgrade my current PC to somehow cope the current softwares.
