HP recovery from external hdd

Hi

Here is one:

I got my hands on a HP NW8440, with no recovery partition. It has a backup made on an external hard drive as a single folder.

Is there any way to restore that backup to the laptop?

Note that there are not CDs/DVDs but a single folder containing those INP files
