Hp Starting in Hibernation mode

Hi

I shut down my Hp yesterday(it did some windows updates) Now when i try to turn it on it starts in hibernation mode( going to sleep message on monitor) and i cannot seem to do anything.

Rang up HP and they said i would have to send it for repair.

Does anyone know the reason or how to fix it?
