HTDIG

I have a problem on using htdig. The problems are that:
1)I create all web files in /var/www/html/myweb. And I copy all htdig files to /va/www/html/htdig. I would like to search all my linked files (i.e all my files in the directory /var/www/html/myweb) in http://localhost/htdig/.
2) How could I create an Htdig database to meet my needs?
