I Can’t Install Oracle On Linux

I Have oracle 8.1.7 downloaded from net and when i used to run ./runInstaller. It’s doing nothing . ihave asked may ones but no reply if u guys hava a solution then i m dying for that. basically i have done everything .. installing jdk1.1.8 , setting paraqmeters for kernel 2.2.5 etc but if runInstaller Run then it hava a effect but it gives error ./jre not found
