I’m running Win XP SP3. I can’t see the Task Manager Window when I initiate the commands.
Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) or any other method to activate Task Manager only brings the icon in system tray and on the task bar. Clicking on both icons does not render the Task Manager Window to show all the processes etc.
However, if I right click on the Task Manager icon in the system tray, it gives me Close and Always On Top, with Always On Top ticked.
On the Task Bar, only the computer icon with green screen is displayed, no Text name like, Task Manager… ie. icon without label.
If I hover the mouse over the TM icon in the system tray, CPU Usage: 14% displayed.
I have already downloaded the Microsoft Fix it – ATS, nothing changes.
I have MSSE & McAfee AV running and no viruses found.
I do have WinXP SP2 cd, but I’m not sure if that will be a viable option as I have SP3 updated on my PC.
Please help. Thank you.
