I Connceted 2 VPN Router. Now What?

I have just connected 2 Linksys BEFVP41 routers and I’ve got them connected. What is bugging me is I can’t see the other computers in the my Network Neighborhood. What am I doing worng. I can ping the local ip addresses and they are on different logal ip addresses. Is this all a VPN does?

Please Help. I’ll buy you a shot for this one. (And if you don’t drink. I’ll buy you a Code Red or Mountain Dew or something.)
