I joined a startup company about one year back as an IT Manager…at that moment my responsibilities were not discussed in detail but i kept on asking ( i asked in Techrepublic as well ) from the management what do they expect…frankly speaking i was treated like a coder mostly and was not given any other work force to manage projects….during the development phase management kept on saying that going is good…i was also thinking that everything it right…but to my surprise it was NOT !! I shifted to another city for the job…i was having some personal problems as well but i tried to do whatever said to me….but at the time of performance appraisal i got the rating which is below average…and my designation was changed to Sr Associate… my colleague who is not even professionally qualified…got a raise and promotion as well…when i discussed about my rating with the management then i didn’t get straight answers but was told that i need to perform better…..at the moment market also is not in position to look for better avenues…and frankly speaking i also don’t want to make quick moves…..it’s embarassing situation…..what should i do ?
