I hate headhunters. Let’s get rid of them.

This isn’t a sales pitch. I know you don’t believe me. I’m (still) an IT person with an idea, and I want to talk to some other IT people about it. But it sounds like a sales pitch, I know. Maybe if I change the headline or something…

If you’re a consultant who went through the highs of the 80’s and the lows of the 90’s, you might be interested in just exactly how we might stabilize our salaries against such wild market fluctuations. It is possible – and if you’re interested in discussing it, I’m interested in talking to you. I don’t have a company, I’m not a headhunter, I don’t have a job to offer you. I don’t even have an infomercial. I just have a solid idea and I need about 5 people to talk to about it. If you’re in the boston MA area and you’re intrigued, email me at j.penney@computer.org – I don’t even have a mailing list, so you don’t have to worry about me selling your information to anyone. If you’re interested, send me an email and we’ll continue the discussion.

If anyone wants to throw out some ideas on the board here as to how we can gain some bargaining power in this lovely economy of ours, have at it – I look forward to lively discusions.
