i-Net MCSC Compatible?

would it be feasible to go with an internetworking (CISCO) track,with the thought of possible upgrading my certifications with the MCSClater on? They seem to share similar basics, is that where it ends?
Or would it be recommended to stay with the internet side of things and add CIW certifications instead?
Any thoughts?
