ICS and E-mail

I am using ICS under Windows 2000. My internet connection is with an ADSL modem. My client is operating with Windows NT and can not send mail that is larger than three lines. I have tried many things. The best results have given the client a few minutes to send mail but this does not work most of the time. Does anyone have any suggestions.
