IE 7 Issues with Personal Settings

EVERY time I shut the computer down and reboot, now that I have IE 7, the computer cannot locate my personal settings. SO, it sets up a “new” personal setting. Consequently, everything stored on my computer becomes “new” and websites I access think I have never been there before. Has anyone else had this problem?
