We are trying to define support roles/responsibilities for our IIS servers both Intranet and Internet. In our organization we have Server Engineers, Application Engineers and Security Engineers – all separate groups. The need for an IIS server hasbeen driven by App, Server or Management groups. We want to combine web based apps on IIS servers – not have one for every app. We need to make sure that our servers meet certain standards, have security patches at the same levels, that one person’s change doesn’t affect other apps, etc. Does anyone have any experience with multiple groups needing to work on IIS and having primary responsibilites but not segregating things so that we slow down the process for anyone?
