IIS5.0 and SSL

I am trying to test SSL on my company web site. I went to http://sectest.rte.microsoft.com
and got a test certificate. I exported the certificate to my hard drive, enabled SSL on IIS 5.0, and now when I go to the site I get the security screen warning me that I’m about to enter a secure site, when I click ok I get “Page cannot be displayed”
I have tried everything I can think of, checked IE5 advanced security settings. Made sure IIS was set correctly. What could I be missing or am I going about this the wrong way? Any assistance would be greatly appreaciated
