Information using IP Adress.

I’m running a windows 98 Dell computer (it’s not networked), and about once a day someone tries to make a connection with our computer (its a different IP adress every time). I would like to find out some information about these people. I’ve triedusing the firewall’s tracking option (it doesn’t work since internic.net is dead). I’ve also tried networksolutions.com, and they yield nothing. I also telnetted to their IP adress and found that they are running a linux server (which one would infer that it uses the same IP adress everytime). Is there anyway I can find any information about them? Thanks.
