Install RAID sata drives, no bootable drives detected in bios

by gavin . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

As of 3 days ago I have moved from IDE to ATA hard drives to run a RAID array. After install of hard drives I am unable to detected the cd & dvd drives to install xp. The BIOS does not show any IDE or SATA hardware.

On trying to boot from the XP cd the first screen (on pressing F11) only shows the floppy and the RAID name allocated to the new drives.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Specs:
MB > 939Dual-SATA2
HD > Seagate 160GB 7200.10 7200RPM SATAII/300 8MB Cache – OEM

Any help will be greatly appricated, as I’m thinning on top and not the middle.
