I’ve been able to successfully test a system where the server running MTS is NT 4.0 and the client is Windows 2000. Now, I’m trying to test out a Windows 2000 Server running COM+ with a Windows NT client.
However, I’m now testing running a Windows 2000 server and I’m having a lot of
trouble bringing up an NT Workstation 4 client. The COM+ client export creates a .msi file that should then be run on the client. When I try to install to the client, I get a message that notifies me
that Ineed to install a service pack with a more recent upgrade of msiexec.exe.
I’ve tried upgrading to the same version of msiexec that Windows 2000 has, but
with no success.
I’m looking for ideas on how to get the .msi file installed.
