Integrating SQL 2005 with Sharepoint

Hi ,

I have created a survey in Sharepoint that the users would be responding to . I wish that the responses to this survey directly go to a SQL database ( for further analytics ) rather than residing in the native sharepoint database .

Is this possible ? If yes what are the steps to be followed ?
