Internet Explorer 7

My “friendly neighborhood software provider” Microsoft invited me to download and install Internet Explorer 7. Alas it does not work at all. It cannot read any web pages.

My other browsers, Firefox and Flock are functioning normally.

Any clues on how to fix IE 7, or dump it and go back to IE 6.
