internet sharing from w2k to mac

by seadogs . Updated 23 years, 8 months ago

I have a w2k pc set up with internet sharing via cable modem. It is connected via an ethernet card to a hub. The hub is also connected to a mac. The mac has OS 9.2 and 10 on it. I can’t get the internet sharing to work for the mac. I’ve tested it with another w2k machine – no problems. If I set the mac ip static, I can ping back and forth between the mac and pc. I think the problem is it is not getting the ip from the pc. Any ideas? Previously I had w98 on the pc and the same mac and it worked great. Since the upgrade, it worked for a short while on mac 10, never on mac 9.2 and now is not working on either. Help!
