ip-san vs fc/scsi

i would like to see a comparison of the two methods discussed in this article. pros and cons of each and why it is that the cisco proposal is viewed as a potential market threat other than planned obsolecense issues, but isnt that what IT is all about. there is always a better mouse trap around the corner. how is cisco’s leap into sans transmission improvement going to add up to the new investment requirements etc etc.

this article has just scratched the surface. i would like to know more.
