IRQ Woes

Hi,
I recently purchased a Handspring Visor which
uses USB. I have never used USB prior to
this, consequently I had disabled the USB in
BIOS for the last year or so. When I enabled
the USB in Bios, the linux boot went haywire,
I lost access tomy soundcard, during the
boot I noticed several IRQ conflicts, etc.

Is there an elegant way of reconfiguring
this? or do I need to reinstall RH6.2 with
the USB enabled for linux to reappropriate
the resources?
