Is it possible to do a multiselect on Excel’s Data Validation List

I would like to be able to do a CTRL-CLICK on a cell that has been marked for DATA-Validation-List and select more than one entry. Is there a VBA way to do this WITHOUT doing a ListBox? I want an actual CELL type entry point.
