Is it too much to ask

I have grown tired of software venders asking us to use their beta software. This includes Microsoft, Linux and all others. MS seems to be the norm for every one to pick on but it is a lot of new software out there.
I have tried a lot of software and reported problems with it.
I am going to use tried and true software now. It seems that at two of contracts they need to use Win98 se and the other needs to use XP because of the newer programs they use.
