isa as a parent to squid

I am having major problems with squid playing nicely with isa. I have a clue that changing the isa authentication to basic will solve the problem but it is something we dont want to do (politics). My problem is that we cant authenticate on the isa server from squid, is there a way that squid can send ntlm authentication, i have done the oposit ntlm authentication on the linux box can anyone help
