IT Disrepect in MFG

by hugh_vagn . Updated 21 years ago

Hi,

We are a small mfg shop with < 100 employees. Many times Shop managers and shop employees do not respect the IT personnel. We take a lot crap from these individuals. For example, we have couple projects where we need to install software and hardware. These individuals think that they owned the computer we set it for them. Profanity...'what the f*ck you doing with my pc' type of slandering and verbose abuse. Or the best one...'it seems the computer is kicking your *ss again ehh'. They responded with 'I don't need these sh*t'. Is common in the mfg sector?? Office users are somewhat professional. They alwaysl..say that this is 'shoptalk'. I understand that when project are rolled out, all users need to be inform through e-mail or memo. What are some of your thoughts in these situation.
