It is 2008!!!!!

So why, still, do all small personal technological devices or widgets assume that all I am interested in is the weather, stock prices, time and news?

Weather – and!
Normally just tells you the current weather – well I know that as I’m looking at it. Any forward days are normally incorrect anyway!

Does anybody actually use the stock prices ticker?
I mean what are you really going to do when a small fluctuation happens in your stock anyway?

Time – I have a watch and have a good grasp of the chronological order of the day!

News – I know where to find the news I am after and don’t generally use a small personal device to access it.

Does anybody use these features or are they just expected as the norm today?
