Where would you go to learn to become an Network Administrator? I have been studying very hard for A+certification,i’ve been reading lots of A+ study books by Marcraft and Riders Pc repair book by Minasi, flash cards from A+Central and boy Am i goingin circles or what??? I still don’t feel prepared or that I have learned how to do anything ! Most of those damn books give thereory! not actual repair . i think Pc Magazines are more helpfull in learning repair than any repair book, its like they all wrote a theseis and are bragging how much they know about the very multiple ways to say the same damn thing!!!!! I wasted so much time on these books and MONEY ! So I am concentrating on memorising the many practice test I’ve faild. EXP. Question” Which is True of Protected Mode?”
a. Protected Mode was introduced in the Intel 80286 Microprocessor, but not utilized until the release of the 80386.
b. Theorectically, protected mode allows a program to fail without crashing the system
c.protected mode is a diagnostic mode introduced with the Intel 80386 microprocessor
d. protected mode is a fucntion of the operating system not the microproscessor

” these are of the older versions I know ,but I started with this so i am taking this version of the test. I want to get into Networking administration .Where is the best place to get traingin in this field???
My apitite for the It field has diminished , Especially when I see alot of Employers expect you to have a Bs/Ms,IN,CS/EE or similarand at least 5 years hands on … , know perl,C++,Java,
Who has all that??? KNow wonder there is a shortage out there, People see what you need in the paper ads and say sheesh, It would take 10 years to get that much traingin and skill , I could become a Doctor for all that study time !!!
sincerely
Deborah
