IT staff meetings with CIOs–weekly?

I’m seeking information for a CIO Republic article on regularly scheduled staff meetings. How often does your company’s top IT exec meet with the IT staff? What kinds of topics might come up in the meeting? Do you use any special software or hardware for the meetings? How about tips for making IT meetings more effective?
