Java Programmer Evaluation

HI, I am an I.T. Recruiter. A lot of my clients are requesting that I
prescreen my Java Programmers before sending their resume. Do you know if
there is anything out there that can help me prescreen these candidates. I
am thinking of maybea written test or a computer test. Any feedback would
be greatly appreciated.
