jump[ed] dog[]

It amazes me how often I see “the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog” when the pangram is “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”. “S” for Simply Stupefying! I was reminded of this by reading a recent article at Tech Republic. Thank you.
