Just Joining…newb question about Firefox

Hey everybody, first post here…looks like a great forum.

Anyways, I’m really into music production wares, but am just starting to get going on Web Development.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to configure things so I could start AOL directly from Firefox. Also, why does Firefox run so slowly…is there anything I can do to optimize the speed?
