I am using software where people can send me files. I then can directly open them within the software or save them to a folder and then open them. For some reason, it takes quite a while to open them directly from within the software. The filles are typical Office 2007 files and other types. I have discovered that things progress much more quickly if I save the files to a TEMP folder and then open them from the TEMP folder. On one PC I can conveniently open the file from the TEMP folder after the download, with the TEMP folder staying open. However, on another PC, for the last several months, I have had to navigate back to the TEMP folder once the save process was completed in order to open the saved file–not a major problem, but an annoyance. So, the question is, how do I keep this TEMP folder open once the save process is completed? There must be some sort of a setting, as it performs as I wish on one but not on the other PC. I use MS Explorer 7.0 for my browser and Vista OS. Thanks!
