I use a voice-chat program called Ventrilo to talk with my friends, it’s a great program, aside from one annoying thing.. sometimes, when somebody else is talking at the same time as me, their voice will travel from my speakers into my microphone while I have the talk button pushed down, and the result is an annoying echo that not only cannot be understood, but hurts everybody’s ears too.
My question is, is there any program that can temporarily mute my speakers when I have a certain button pressed down, such as the key I use to turn on my mic so I can talk, because turning off my speaker every time is a pain, and I don’t like using headphones all the time, the ability to listen to some light music and have game sounds out loud without drowning everyone else out in ventrilo would be great.
