One of my clients (2000k away) suddenly had everything being selected from her kb. I got her to do a scan and Kaspersky returned an Adobe Reader6 infection that did exactly that. We uninstalled Adobe 6, used registry mechanic to rebuild the registry and rebooted. Now, all of the error had gone except one. She now experienced random lockups within an application, always at the same position. I suspected a keyboard driver problem. When I logged on remotely using VNC I could not duplicate the problem as I was bypassing the local kb driver. I suggested that she take it to her local tech who reinstalled windows but with some difficulty, having to copy files over from the cd rather than having windows do its own repair. The problem still existed. I had the local tech reinstall the keyboard drivers, I downloaded a fresh copy of the application and since then the system has worked correctly.
Has anyone ever experienced a similar problem and if so what did you do to fix.
