Keyboard issue – Presario 2100 and Linux

I’m attempting to put RedHat on my Compaq Presario 2100 series Laptop (2103US, specifically) but when I attempt to do so, I lose keyboard function.

I’ve tried RH7.3 and RH9.0, I’ve tried with the laptop’s keyboard, 2 generic P/S2’s and a USB. In all configurations, the problem remains. No input is accepted, including CTRL-ALT-DEL. The caps lock & num lock don’t toggle either.

Mouse works fine (USB optical) which surprised me, but no keyboard…
