Keyboard Shortcut: Shift+F5 No Longer Works in Word ’07

by gene.saker . Updated 17 years, 11 months ago

In the work I do, the above command is vital, essential, and a must have, as I am continually needing to return to a previous location during composition in a complex document. When I first learned this command, I was using a Belkin keyboard that has since died. So I bought an MS Ergonomic 4000. Guess what–the command doesn’t work anymore! Since the command is listed in the current Word Tips and Tricks, it is not outdated or superseded. This would seem to place the blame squarely on the new keyboard, which as stated is a MS product.

My skill as a computer user is perhaps intermediate, but my knowledge in re the guts of computers is between newbie and moron.

Did I mention vital, essential, and must have? I tell you, I will absolutely die, pass away, and expire if I don’t soon discover the answer to this less than Egyptian mystery. And damned if my pulse isn’t slowing already!

HELP! HELP! ARGGH!
