laptop cant connect

So.. I was online one night, kept gettinga bubble saying i had ann ip conflict with another system on the network… went to fix that but now my laptop that has built in wireless will not connect.. and i cannot remember how i got to the box to fix my ip conflict thing… can anyone help me? my laptop has built in wireless so i dont need a card… i cant go to the little tv thing and click repair.. does anyone know how i can get to the options were i can change what mode my laptop was on to automatically assign an ip? i think that is whhat it was
