leave or stay?

i have this job with only 1 staff in my unit. i’ve been requesting to get 2 more people in for 10 months already. now my only staff is leaving and am left with a dilemna. I’ve been planning to leave for weeks already but my staff gave me his letter before i could resign. now that the company knows he’s leaving, they’re scrambling to get a replacement.

if i resign, there wnt be any more people left in my unit. on the other hand, i’ll be working on my own business and also helping with my dad’s business too

should i resign?
