After the discussion about EULAs and other licenses (can’t remember the name of that discussion right now), I started to check all the licenses for the various products on my computer. All of them (including AVG 7.5 Free edition) were fine (as in, I had no issues with anything in the licenses). However, according to the annoying pop-up that appears every hour, AVG 7.5 will no longer be updated after May 31.
I thought, “True or not, I’m not going to click on some random pop-up- I’m not that stupid.”
Instead, I went to download the new version from the site itself. Upon reading the license, which included a “time out” feature, I removed that piece of crap from system (using unrecoverable delete of course).
So when June 1st arrives, I’ll be looking for new antivirus software. Any suggestions? (Keep in mind that I can’t afford a song on ITunes with my budget.)
