This is longish..get a pen..
Domain A has a Lucent Pipeline DSL router plugged into an open port on a 16-port hub.
Domain B has the same exact setup.
Both routers are configured with proper IP addresses
Domain A is connected to the internet by a Netopia router. All users (W95) use the router address as the gateway (no proxy). As a result, IP addresses are assigned.
Domain B is NOT connected to the internet, and uses an arbitrary IP address scheme that is not in line with Domain A(100.xxx.x.x S/M 255.255.0.0 versus 38.xxx.xxx.xxx S/M 255.255.255.192).
I’m testing on one side, but I assume the other is the same….
From Domain A, I can ping the router on this side, the other side, and even the Domain B server. However, I cannot see the other server in Network Neighborhood, nor can I net use to it using the IP address.
In addition, since I have two routers on Domain A now, I tried adding both to the workstation I tested on. If the DSL router was added first, I can ping the other Doma
