Linksys and 802.3 broadcasting

Anybody seen this one?

Linksys WRT54G wireless router with latest beta firmware patch.

I run a packet sniff and it is broadcasting 802.3 traffic.

I replaced it with a Linksys wired router and no 802.3 traffic.

Any theories?

I am loath to call Linksys ,because they are clueless bunch of script readers who wouldn’t know the difference between their a** and a packet.
