Linux & 3Com Mini PCI

by kwhit . Updated 25 years, 1 month ago

I have Linux 6.2 loaded on my IBM Thinkpad laptop (A20M). I had to use text mode because the GUI wouldn’t work. It did not load up my network card which is a 3Com 10/100 mini PCI Ethernet Adapter. I have read of other people doing this successfully where the eepro module was used. When I use LinuxConf it comes up with the following:

Executing /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S85httpd start
Can not determine local host name
User ServerName directive to set it manually

I have looked in all my reference books for how to set this manually (it is in LinuxConf) but I can’t find anything. Please help 😉
