LINUX 6.0 KERNEL COMPILATION

by r.deguzman . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

Hi … I am re-compiling my kernel because I have modified some include files for the oracle installation. I did a make bzdisk and at the end of the compilation I received the following error messages:

no rule to make target ‘/etc/sound/msndperm.bin’ needed by ‘msndperm.c’. Stop.

leaving directory ‘/usr/src/linux-> 2.2.5/drivers/sound’

[first_rule] Error 2

leaving directory ‘/usr/src/linux-> 2.2.5/drivers/sound’

[_subdir_sound] Error 2

leaving directory ‘/usr/src/linux->2.2.5/drivers/sound’

[_dir_drivers] Error 2

Please help me as I want to install Oracle in my linux. Also if you could provide me a way on how to make permanent changes in my environment variable values.

Thank you very much.
