Linux-based PDA

by suzanne thornberry . Updated 24 years ago

Sharp?s new Zaurus SL 5500 is based on the Embedix Linux OS. ZDNet?s review of the PDA found it to be a very nice piece of hardware, but noted some usability shortcomings, (in synching, for example). But if you company runs Linux, maybe there are some advantages to using PDAs that also use the system.

Does anyone use this device? If so, I?d love to get your feedback for an article I?m working on for CIO Republic. What do you think of the concept of a Linux-based PDA?
