Linux for newbies

by statykserver . Updated 21 years, 8 months ago

I would like to start using Linux but I am not a linux guru. I know there are alot of different versions out there. I’ve heard of slackware, redhat, mandrake, freebsd, gentoo and others. Which would be the best version of linux to use? Please consider features and ease of use. It would be just for a personal desktop system.
