linux ftp

i’ve setup a RH 6.2 as a server and i’m having problems with its ftp service. everytime i tried to connect through ftp, i got a reply “connection closed by remote host”. i’ve check /etc/inetd.conf and its okay. i restart it but to no avail. what should i do to make it working? pls. help guys. tnx.
