linux needs more ram

ok i have 2 compaq servers but i want to install red hat 9 on one that has 262 mb of SIMM ram and it says i dont have enough ram to even install text mode red hat 9 says it only needs bout 32 mb for visual mode anyone have any help?
it is running 5scsi ultra wide2 hard drives 4GB a piece and dual socket 5 pentium cpu’s at 200mhz
